Odyssey Community Services, Inc. offers a multitude of mental health, intellectually disabled and substance abuse services, as well as other psychological education services. These services are organized into a coordinated network to meet the multiple and changing needs of severely emotionally disturbed and mental challenged children, adolescents, and their families. Odyssey Community Services, Inc. embraces the philosophy that community based family-centered care is an important part of a successful therapeutic outcome.

Odyssey Community Services, Inc. believes that the system of care for emotionally disturbed or mentally challenged children should be community based.  We believe families have the ability to grow and overcome difficulties. Therefore, we recognize and use the family’s existing strengths and resources by involving the family as a partner in the decision-making and goal-setting process.
 
The method of care utilized is tailored toward the needs of the child and family; the optimal therapeutic goal is child centered and family focused. We believes that counseling and treatment should be administered in a therapeutically trusting environment that enhances the personal dignity of children and families. We strive to represent the family’s wishes and individual goals and maximize opportunities for involvement and self-determination in planning and following through with home-based services.
